GCC Accreditation Center and Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works Forge Partnership to Enhance Quality Infrastructure

In a strategic move aimed at bolstering the capabilities of the Government Center for Inspection and Quality Control sector, the Gulf Accreditation Center (GAC) and the Ministry of Public Works in the State of Kuwait have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This landmark agreement underscores a shared commitment to strengthening the quality infrastructure and fostering sustainable economic development by building technical capacities.

The MoU sets the stage for collaboration between GAC and the Ministry of Public Works, laying the groundwork for initiatives aimed at enhancing quality standards and regulatory frameworks. As part of this collaborative endeavor, GAC, in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Works, recently convened a high-profile workshop focusing on the requirements for accrediting laboratories for testing and calibration in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The workshop brought together specialists in the field, providing a platform for robust discussions on key challenges and opportunities.
