GCC Accreditation Center took part in the activities of GCC pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha. During the event, GAC conducted an informative workshop titled “The Role of GCC Accreditation in Promoting a Sustainable Environment for Earth’s Protection,” held on October 28, 2023. Additionally, GAC delivered a training course on “Foundations and Principles of Environmental Management Systems” aligned with the international standard ISO 14001:2015, which took place on October 29, 2023. The training was well-received and attended by a diverse group of participants and specialists from various domains. The sessions featured interactive presentations and practical applications to underscore the significance of accreditation in establishing a sustainable environment for the preservation of the planet and introducing an environmental management system.

The delegation from GCC Accreditation Center also visited the GCC pavilion, themed “Towards a Green Bay for a Sustainable Environment,” which aimed to highlight critical topics of collaborative Gulf initiatives, joint plans, and strategies in the fields of environment and agriculture. It also showcased essential ongoing and future projects among the GCC nations in this sector.

As part of their participation in Expo Doha activities, the Director General of GAC, Eng. Moteb Al-Mezani, along with the Assistant Chairman of the Qatar General Authority for Standardization and Metrology, Eng. Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al-Mana, met with Qatari talents who are qualified for the accreditation process with the Accreditation Center in the State of Qatar.

Furthermore, the Center seized the opportunity to engage with Qatari media outlets and invited H.E the Director General of the GCC Accreditation Center to the Al Rayyan TV studio in Qatar for a comprehensive discussion about the Center’s participation in Expo 2023 Doha and the Gulf Cooperation Council Pavilion. Additionally, they conducted an exclusive interview with Eng. Brahim Houla, the Director of the Center’s Accreditation Services Department, to shed light on their involvement in the event.
