The GCC Accreditation Center (GAC) celebrated the election of its representative as Chair of the Global Accreditation Cooperation, during a ceremony organized by the Center with the presence and participation of leaders and staff from the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO). The event honored this historic achievement, which adds to the distinguished record of Gulf and Arab accomplishments on the international stage.

In his speech during the ceremony, the Director General of GAC, H.E. Eng. Muteb Al-Mezaini, expressed his pride in the election of the GAC representative to lead the Global Accreditation Cooperation. He emphasized that this achievement is a source of pride for all Arabs and Muslims, reflecting the pioneering role of the GCC in advancing the accreditation system and strengthening the quality infrastructure at both regional and international levels. He also praised the continuous support provided by the GCC Standardization Organization and quality partners in member states, which played a key role in enabling the Center to reach this milestone.

The ceremony also featured a message of gratitude delivered by the Center’s representative, Eng. Brahim Houla, Director of Accreditation Services, who expressed his sincere appreciation for the support received. He noted that assuming the Chair of the Global Accreditation Cooperation is a great responsibility and affirmed his commitment to exerting his utmost efforts to advance the quality and accreditation landscape in the GCC and the broader region. He also highlighted that this achievement is a shared success that strengthens the GCC’s standing in international organizations and demonstrates its capability to lead technical and regulatory fields related to quality and accreditation.

This celebration marks an important milestone in the journey of the Center and its staff.
