The kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing accelerating economic developments and transformations. The most prominent of these developments is the launch of an ambitious future vision concentrating on human development and enhancing human capabilities, and adopting a transformation strategy to build an integrated sustainable economy, based on integration and diversification of income sources. Hence, all sectors should interact with this sustainable approach, work jointly to inspire creativity and innovation, ensure the principles of quality to tackle the development issues and challenges, and look ahead to seize the available opportunities to build a solid economy capable of dealing with changes at all levels.

These accelerating developments reflect directly on industrial development and its strategy in KSA. Developing the industrial sector receives special governmental attention and support, as it is the perfect choice for industrial development. Meanwhile, in an economic climate that is open, highly competitive and constantly changing, the sustainable quality movement is rising to establish a solid quality infrastructure that enhances the national and international competitiveness of Saudi industries. Therefore, KSA is taking firm steps to face the industrial challenges by keeping abreast of globalization and developments in the international market, transferring and localizing technology, developing industrial management, and supporting and empowering innovation, in addition to attracting resources and investments by close cooperation with the national and international private sectors.

In this context, and in response to the ambitious goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 and its development programs, and seeking to support the initiatives of the energy, industry and mineral resources system, in addition to highlighting the joint GCC strategies in the field of standardization and accreditation, the Second Saudi International Quality Exhibition and Forum will be held with the participation of local and international quality experts and scientists, and the attendance of VIPs, including ministers, officials and stakeholders.
