Description

The Halal Products certification process, according to the GCC Countries halal requirements, is
based on both the ISO/IEC 17065 international standard for Product certifiers, ISO/TS 22003 and the GSO
2055-2 specific GCC standard for Halal Products certification.
The GSO 2055-2 structure is similar to the ISO TS standards making reference in each of its
clauses to the ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/TS 22003 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 international standards, hence a training on the
GCC halal requirements need also an understanding of the ISO/IEC international standards.
This course is designed to present the conformity assessment concepts for the Halal
certification of products, process and services as defined in ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/TS 22003 and GSO 2055-2.
Discussions will focus on building an understanding of the standard’s requirements, its benefits,
and why it has become the international benchmark for product certification.
The course contents provide the Halal certification body, Halal scheme owners and others
interested in certification of Halal products, processes and services with the understanding of
