Description
This program aims at reviewing the tests necessary to be performed on white masonry units, including physical and mechanical tests, which are conducted with the aim of quality control and ensuring that the final product conforms to standard specifications. During the program, methods for conducting physical and mechanical tests on white masonry units are reviewed, including determining dimensions, density, moisture content, percentage of water absorption, and compressive strength. During the program, each method is reviewed, its purpose, the method of preparing samples, the required equipment, and the steps of experiments and calculations.

1 - Identify the standard methods for conducting physical and mechanical tests on white bricks.

2- BS EN 772-16:2011: Methods of test for masonry units - Pat 16: Determination of Dimensions.
3- BS EN 772-13:2000: Methods of test for masonry units - Part 13: Determination of net and gross dry density of masonry units
4- BE EN 772-10:1999: Methods of test for masonry units - Part 10: determination of moisture content of calcium silicate and autoclaved aerated concrete units.
5- BS EN 772-11:2011: Methods of test for masonry units- Part 11: Determination of water absorption of aggregate concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, manufactured stone and natural stone masonry units due to capillary action and the initial rate of water absorption of clay masonry units.
6- BS EN 772-1:2011+A1:2015: Methods of test for masonry units - Part 1: Determination of compressive strength.
